My first Purple concert was 24June 1985; I must admit I don't remember a lot anymore. The things I remember most were: the closer I came to Genk, the more "hard-rocking-cars" I saw. The  hall was full (13 000) and the anouncer anounced (well, that's what he was payed for) that Purple wouldn't start untill the pushing at the front stopped.

And then... "Highway Star"!During the whole evening Blackmore stayed (musically) on the background, a few (too few) exceptions. The sound in the hall was awfull. I had too much to drink (but was not drunk), so I spend more time to go to – and fro - the toilet (where the sound was even worse) than to be in the overcrowded hall; the trip took me 20 minutes!!. I still remember that "Perfect Strangers" was a blinder, as was "Knockin..."  I was wondering if I had missed "Child in Time" due to my toilet visits; or they did not perform it? (Later I found out  they did not play it, I have a tape of the show). And when the concert was over, the surroundings were filled with police; horses and dogs included.

Pity that I only can recall these things of my first Deep Purple concert.
